Mrs Trudy S (Franklin House, University of York, September 2017): Room clean, breakfast great and good bus service into town.

Mr Lee B (Franklin House, University of York, September 2017): Very clean and comfortable accommodation.

Mrs Gillian R (Franklin House, University of York, September 2017): Very clean room good stay

Mr Robert P (James College, University of York, September 2017): We used the rooms on campus to attend the university undergraduate open day the following day. The rooms are typical of university student accommodation - basic but OK. The main advantage was the convenience of not having to travel to York and back in a day. The James college porter was very helpful in giving us maps and explanations of the university campus and how to get into York city centre.

Mrs Linda D (James College, University of York, September 2017): I would definitely stay at James College again and would recommend it to friends.

Mr Duncan M (James College, University of York, August 2017): Very good value for money compared to city centre hotels. Room was basic but clean.

Fr. Miriam W (Blossoms, B&B, York, August 2017): We (my mother, my two brothers and I ) only stayed for one night in Blossoms B&B in York, while travelling round in a car from Germany through Eng- and Scottland and we enjoyed it very much. It is a well located house (10 mintues walk from York Minster and the lovely old town) with free parking places, the rooms are spaceous, clean and nicely done up, each with a small bathroom, simple but perfectly good. Most we liked the breakfastroom and the little bar in the cellar, everthing looks very familiar and the service is cordially and very obliging!

Mr Michael L (Franklin House, University of York, August 2017): Very friendly staff; no problem with getting a packed lunch, when we had to leave before breakfast-time; excellent location: impressing campus with much green surrounding, near the city-centre - only 15 minutes by bus, which runs very often. Wished I could have studied here!

Mr Paul W (Franklin House, University of York, August 2017): Free parking on the weekend, good size room, comfy bed, and buffet style breakfast. All good value for money. Bus stop not far away from accommodation. If travelling in a group of up to 5 get a family ticket on the bus at weekends for £5 (you don't have to be related) hop on and off the bus all day. The only downside is the 9:30am checkout time if this could be extended to 10:30am I think the rooms would sell out every weekend. Overall very good.

Mrs Monica W (James College, University of York, August 2017): An ideal location for a group of friends to stay and have a city break. The accommodation was very comfortable and the bus service to town was very efficient.

Mrs Deborah B (James College, University of York, August 2017): I booked 22 bedrooms for our group, and everyone enjoyed their overnight stay with excellent service and facilities. Would certainly recommend and stay here again.

Mrs Fiona R (James College, University of York, July 2017): All good :)

Mrs Janet C (James College, University of York, July 2017): Enjoyed our stay

Mr David H (Franklin House, University of York, July 2017): We enjoyed our stay at Franklin House. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is superb for choice and quality. Clean and spacious room. Maybe it would be possible for management to consider free or reduced parking charges for residents when staying for more than a night as the cost of parking over a number of weekdays becomes significant.

Mr Keith S (James College, University of York, July 2017): I have stayed before and everything was expected. Limited facilities in room but clean and very comfy bed.

Mrs Heather G (James College, University of York, July 2017): Stayed in single room with en-suite. Both were clean and towels were provided. Tea and coffee making facilities in room. Full English breakfast included in price. Would use again if needed to.

Mr Edward T (James College, University of York, July 2017): Reception very helpful. Will be back for sure.

Mrs Kate M (Franklin House, University of York, July 2017): We booked two rooms for our stay - a single and a double. Both were spotlessly clean and comfortable, with everything we could need. Extremely reasonably priced for the area and time of year. Parking convenient and breakfast selection excellent. One, very minor point - only three pillows for the double room, whilst the single had two! My husband and I fought for possession of the third pillow!!! Staff on reception extremely helpful. Would book again without hesitation.

Dr Emma W (James College, University of York, July 2017): A basic but clean ensuite room, clean bedding & towels, comfortable bed. Tea & coffee supplies were refreshed daily. Nice outlook onto quadrangle, pleasant walk across the lake bridge for breakfast. Staff on reception & in the restaurant were friendly & helpful.

Mrs Mary H (Franklin House, University of York, July 2017): Thank you for another comfortable stay. It was good value for money and very convenient for visiting our son on the campus.

Mrs Ann G (Franklin House, University of York, July 2017): Would definitely stay there again. Helpful staff. We were staying for york university open day, so the accommodation was very convenient, about a 5/10 minute walk to the university.

Ms Lucy M (Franklin House, University of York, July 2017): Everyone very helpful.

Mr Stephen B (Franklin House, University of York, July 2017): A good standard for university accommodation.

Mrs Natasha V (Franklin House, University of York, July 2017): Very clean. We had 3 rooms. Perfect for over night stay after visiting on open day. Caught bus into York and Uber back for lea than £5. Mirror lights in my room and bath room were not working , but were in the other 2 rooms. Beds were comfortable.

Mrs Sally B (Franklin House, University of York, July 2017): Really suited our needs very well . Room clean and comfortable . Booking checking in and checking out all very easy and efficient . Great to be able to leave bags during uni visit . Thank you

Mr Geoffrey B (Blossoms, B&B, York, June 2017): Ease of finding location and parking made a good start. Friendly reception and breakfast service (and breakfast menu excellent). Room conveniently located and comfortable.

Mr Steve W (Franklin House, University of York, June 2017): Great place to stay on a student visit / never disappointed

Mr Alex J (Franklin House, University of York, June 2017): Excellent breakfast also the reception was very helpful Would stay again and recommend to friends

Mr Thomas C (Franklin House, University of York, June 2017): Would stay again. Everything was as advertised.

Mr Graham S (Franklin House, University of York, June 2017): Will definitely use again

Mr Luke A (Franklin House, University of York, June 2017): I enjoyed my night

Dr Allison G (Franklin House, University of York, May 2017): Room was clean and everything I needed was there.

Ms Liz T (Franklin House, University of York, May 2017): York can be an expensive place to visit and so I regularly stay at the University which provides relaxed, no fuss accommodation. The one improvement would be a later check out time - 9am is early by anyone's standards - but other than that, would recommend for anyone looking for no frills accommodation at a reasonable price - with a good breakfast included.

Mrs SEONAID H (Franklin House, University of York, April 2017): Our third visit and I am sure we shall return again.
